Some Kind of Time Off

It has been 53 days since I accidentally cut two of my fingers with a very sharp kitchen knife. I have been unable to play guitar with all of my fingers since then. The only gig I've performed at this year was the Mind Warp Pavilion 5 show at The Rechabite Hall on January 9th. I've messed around with some different tunings on my guitar at home and even managed to play a few songs. I'm only able to play for about 15min at a time though, as my fore finger and ring finger are still 'wearing in'. On the good news front, my middle finger is now bandage-free. Well, that fell off last Tuesday, so now I'm undergoing a desensitisation routine to get my finger back to 'normal'. The skin on my fingertip is fresh baby skin, so while the news is good, I'm still a few weeks away from being able to play a guitar properly. I'm unsure about when and where my first gig back will be, but I'll keep you all posted!
