July Goes Forth

I have well and truly embraced winter in Perth, and I'm loving it! There was a run of really chilly nights that brought forth lovely, clear sunny days. We had a bit of rain, of course, but you've got to put up with that if you want the rainbows. Thankfully, my gigs haven't really been affected by the cold. In fact, one even improved when I was moved onto a cosy verandah with the rest of the patrons!

Speaking of gigs, there aren't any surprises in July, except for a mid-month absence for me. My family and I are heading to Kalbarri for a belated birthday celebration for our daughter, before driving south to Albany for another family function. So, there will be a week of giglessness for yours truly. July kicks off for me this Friday, with my first gig for the month being a WGJS gig at the Byford & Districts Country Club. Add in a Saturday afternoon at Ugly Duckling Wines, and that's my weekend sorted...so far. I will be spending some time north of the river this month, with gigs at Currambine Bar & Bistro, the Indian Ocean Brewing Co. in Mindarie and Portofinos. By contrast, I also have another stint down at the Shoalwater Tavern this month too! The Wesleys will also return to Lakers Tavern, with the wait time for our next appearance considerably shorter than the last. We were stuck inside for June's Sunday session, but it was a hugely enjoyable gig! Stay safe over the winter everyone, and keep warm.
