Cool August Night

Far out, when did it get to be August? Hang on, it's not quite here yet. Oh no, that means winter is nearly over! I've absolutely loved winter in Perth this year. July has been amazingly cool, clear and sunny on certain days. Similar conditions may prevail in August, but my gig calendar is heating up, with a coupla new venues joining the mix!
I've got some Friday nights booked in at The Brabham Hotel, up in, um, Brabham. Not played there before, so I'm looking forward to strumming somewhere new. I will also be performing at the Wembley Hotel, which will be quite nostalgic for me, having spent a year or so living nearby in the 90s. Both new gigs are thanks to Slim Jim Enterprises! You may have seen me at the Currambine Bar & Bistro on the odd Thursday night, but August will also see me doing a Sunday session up there as well. I shall also be returning to the Shoalwater Tavern and Ugly Duckling Wines. Scroll down for the full list of dates and venues for August.
I recorded myself playing Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden last week. On Monday 20th July, it would have been Chris Cornell's 62nd birthday, and I was thinking about him a lot. My family and I enjoyed a break in Kalbarri and Albany and I hadn't played a gig for nearly two weeks. Felt like having a sing and a strum, so here's what I did. Hope you like it!
The Wesleys will continue to appear at Lakers Tavern and the Byford DCC this month, and we will be keep those gigs up for the rest of the year, thanks to Champion Music. We have some private gigs in the pipeline, and will also be returning to the Kalamunda Gardem Festival in December!
