The Clock Winds Down

It's amazing how hectic things get towards the end of the year.  Christmas parties, school functions, catch-ups, and for me, corporate functions...it's a big mess!  Add into the mix this year, my brother's weddin in Yallingup and this December has been one for the books.  What is really awesome now is that things have started to slowly wind up.  Rhona has finished work and the kids have finished school and therapy, so our days are quite leisurely (and housebound) at the moment.  The fact that Lyss is still fighting a chest infection also helps with our family's hermit-like shut-in attitude.  We've been doing bugger all! The hardest work has been deciding on what meals to have or what movie to watch.

There's not many bands to have suffered the amount of lineup changes as Fleetwood Mac.  They morphed from an all-British blues band in the late 1960's to a British-American pop group in the mid 1970's, with Bob Welch's leaving the band opening the door for Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, and with them mainstream success.  Founding member Peter Green's departure from Fleetwood Mac in 1970 echoed Syd Barrett's exit from Pink Floyd, with Green's LSD abuse a possible factor in his schizophrenia.  Band namesake's Mick Fleetwood and John McVie are the only members to have played on every album.
